Participatory management of conservation areas, including threat management and control, change monitoring, and management plans.
Management of conservation agreements with community and private owners.
Execution and evaluation of non-formal environmental education processes aimed at communities, educational institutions, and key stakeholders.
Generation of hydroclimatic, geographic, hydrogeophysical, water quality, and carbon information.
Generation and participation in water and environmental footprint replacement and compensation schemes.

Technical Secretary of the Quito Water Protection Fund since 2015. PhD in Hydrology and MSc in Water Resources Engineering. Civil Engineer from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). Researcher and professor at the University of Cuenca and leader of international conservation and water resource management projects in the Tropical Andes.

Environmental engineer with knowledge of ecological restoration with social participation and water management and more than six years of experience in the recovery of vegetative cover at the Water Protection Fund (FONAG), carrying out ecological restoration processes in the montane forest and páramo ecosystems that supply water to the Quito Metropolitan District.
