Conservation and Restoration of Native Andean Forests and Biodiversity in Tupiza and Cotagaita, Bolivia.
This project seeks to address these issues through comprehensive intervention in two areas:
Conservation of native Andean forests and biodiversity through strengthening the management of protected areas and through productive activities; to this end, communities will be provided with complete hives, bees, and technical assistance for beekeeping, promoting a sustainable economic alternative that links and incentivizes the conservation of native forests with production.
Restoration of landscapes and forests: A program for the production and reforestation of native species, such as Quewiñas, Molles, and Acacias, will be implemented using seedlings produced in greenhouses and a municipal nursery, which will be set up for this purpose.
